When you have disassembled your Xbox you
can start to install the chip:
First solder the male pin header in to the holes
of your Xbox
main circuit board (the top 4 holes are not used).
You insert the pin header in the top of the main
board and solder it in from the bottom of the main board (you can use
"Blue-Tack" to hold the pin header in place while soldering).
Now solder link wires to the points marked below (this is what's called
a LPC Rebuild).
Next solder a wire from point "D0" on the chip to point
"D0" on the bottom of the main circuit board (you can feed the
wire through one of the holes next to where you soldered the pin header).
Below is a diagram of a LPC Rebuild fully completed.
Next solder a wire from point "BT" on the chip to point
"BT" located behind the eject button (shown below).
Now you have finished the soldering, connect the male pin header you
soldered earlier to the main board to the female pin header on the chip
like the diagram below:
Please Note: In the picture below the D0 point is connected to the
top of the main board but you will of connected it earlier to the bottom of
the main board.
Make sure you are using bank1 on the chip for versions 1.6
