When you have disassembled your Xbox you
can start to install the chip:
First solder the male pin header into the holes
of your Xbox
main circuit board (the top 4 holes are not used).
You insert the pin header in the top of the main board and solder it in
from the bottom of the main board (you can use "Blue-Tack" to
hold the pin header in place while soldering).
Then solder a wire from point "G" on the chip to point
"G" on the top of the main circuit board and do the same for
point "A" to point "A" on the main board (shown
above).
Next solder a wire from point "BT" on the chip to point
"BT" located behind the eject button (shown above).
Next solder a wire from point "D0" on the chip to point
"D0" on the main circuit board (you can use any of the 2
diagrams show below but we would recommend the using the "bottom
point" unless you are very experienced in soldering) you can feed the
wire through one of the holes next to where you soldered the pin header.
Now you have finished the soldering, connect the male pin header you
soldered earlier to the main board to the female pin header on the chip
like the diagram below:
Please Note: In the picture below the D0 point is connected to the top of the main board
but would recommend using the bottom point as shown in the picture above.
Make sure you are using bank0 on the chip for versions 1.0 to 1.5
Reassemble your xbox and follow operating instructions below:
